Google’s Me Meme feature is intended for personal Google Accounts and eligible adults. A work, school, or supervised account may not receive the same experimental features.
Check your region and rollout status
Google says AI features may not be available in every region, and availability can change during a rollout. Do not treat another person’s country or account as proof that your account should have the feature.
Make sure the photo is backed up
Google Photos creation features may require the source photo to be backed up. Open the photo in Google Photos and wait for backup to finish before trying again.
Confirm your connection and app state
Use a reliable internet connection, update Google Photos from the official app store, then reopen the app. The menu name or location can change as Google updates the feature.
Look under Create, then allow for limits
The documented flow places Me Meme under Google Photos’ Create area. Experimental AI features can also have daily generation limits or temporary capacity limits.
Use a clear, front-facing photo
For the best chance of a useful result, use one well-lit, focused portrait with a visible face. A group photo, side profile, blur, or covered face can make the result less reliable even when the feature is available.
